Credits

This document was prepared to meet the project requirements for the course, Human Factors in Computer and Information Systems (CMSC 434) , presented by Dr. Shneiderman at the University of Maryland. The authors of this report are Christine Berndt, Stephanie Green, Rebecca Needham and Kermin M. Gandhi.

While the project was a collaborative effort with all authors contributing equally and providing feedback to each other, the following describes who took overall responsibility for each section of this paper:

• Christine was responsible for the introduction and prior research segments.
• Rebecca worked out the experiment description segment.
• Stephanie put together the discussion segment.
• Kermin worked out the results and statistical analysis and was also responsible for putting together this website.

Although the above describes certain leadership roles, it is very important to stress that none of the authors could have completed this project without the support of the team.
