Bob Miller brought his vision and experience to this experiment and made it happen. The years he has spent working in this field were clearly evident in the skill he brought to the design phase and the attention to detail he put into its implementation. His efforts were central to the success of the experiment.
Glen Lee is a computer science undergraduate planning to graduate in Fall 1997. He is currently developing machine translation software soon to be released on the market. The first goal is to translate English to Spanish and vice versa. All other languages will follow. "I am very happily engaged to a very beautiful woman, Edie, who has been very patient and understanding of the trials and tribulation that accompany a computer science degere seeking and software developing person."
Tuyen Do created the program that was used in this experiment. His programming expertise allowed us to focus our attention on the subjects once testing began. His program maintained the database to tabulate all statistical results from the experiments.
Joe Bartell is an undergraduate at the University of Maryland. He returned to school to earn a degree in Computer Science after persuing a career in music and graphic arts. His outline provided the foundation for the testing software. He adapted our report to HTML for display on the class web page. His research and experience with typefaces contributed toward creating a complete report of our experiment.
