COLLEGE PARK, MD - American Studies major Stephanie Stevenson introduced Barack Obama at the White House on Friday, April 24th. Her introduction preceded the President's speech about higher education at 1:30 p.m. in the Diplomatic Reception Room.

“It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget and I am glad that I was able to bring attention to the need for more access to Pell Grants and to the opportunity for a college education for all students,” said Stevenson. She is a junior in American Studies with a concentration in social justice. Stevenson plans to obtain a higher degree in Urban Planning and Public Policy after graduation next year.
