Name: Sandor Vegh
Home country: Hungary
I am a 3rd year Ph.D. student in American Studies. My academic interests
include the role of the computer and global information networks in our
society, the cultural impact of the Internet, cyberculture, the use of
computer technology in the humanities, mass media and cross-cultural
communications and Hungarian-American relations. In my assistantship at
the Department I am the coordinator of the Mini-Center for Teaching
Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture and Society. I am also a member
of the Cyberculture Working
Group. In my extracurricular life, I am the co-chair of the European
Graduate Student Association at the University of Maryland. I enjoy
cultural explorations and have traveled extensively. If you would like to
