Copy and Paste Cheatsheet


A reminder: to copy between two applications, they must both
be open.

Step by step:

1) Bring the application you wish to copy from to the front.
(Note: this will usually be a wordprocessing file you've
created in MSWord or WordPerfect or Windows Write, for ex.)

2) Select the text you wish to copy with the mouse.

3) Go to the edit menu, and select the copy command, making
sure you still have the text you want to copy highlighted.

4) Bring the application you wish to paste into to the
front.  (Note: this will usually be an html document that
you are creating in your public_html directory on otal).

5) Place the cursor where you want the text to be pasted.

6) Go to the edit menu and select the paste command.

That should do it.  If not, try to go through the
instructions again.  If you have serious trouble, email Mary
