What are my preoccupations? I am currently distracted by:
1) Asian/American communities, representations, identities and spaces;
2) feminist studies of science, technology and public health;
3) feminist epitemology... Sue Stafford's concepts of epistemic responsibility, personal careabouts, and intellectul virtues also linger in my mind.

Sure...I got skills. I'm currently finishing up my 2nd year as a CrISP Scholar at The Consortium for Race, Gender, and Ethnicity. I am familiar with scholarly literature (1994-2004), available via UMCP's electronic databases and online journals, that pertain to Asian American women. I also help organize CRGE's Health and Social Well-Being Research Interest Group, as well as selected Graduate Colloquiums throughout the academic year. In addition, I consider myself somewhat familiar with the grant-writing process, as well as understanding the intricacies of drawing up budgets.

I also have skills that are quickly deteriorating from lack of use. As an undergrad, I was very much the lab rat, but also a field mouse. I majored in biology with a concentration in marine biology and a minor in chemistry, so I developed a myriad of analytical and technical skills. If anyone in class needs help using the NMR and integrating curves, just give me a call. Or, if you want a canoe partner, I'm your woman. To add to this mess, after college I worked as a financial analyst at a corporate investment bank, so Excel became my best friend and worst enemy. If Excel ever fails you, just hit the F8 button. F8 solves everything.
