Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer
Aging and Long Term Care

This webpage began as a component of American Studies 603, a class I took in Spring 2004 as a graduate student in the American Studies Department at the University of Maryland. I am a fourth year PhD candidate with a graduate certificate in Women's Studies and am in the process of completing a graduate certificate in Gerontology at the University of Maryland's Center on Aging. My interests are aging, long-term care (LTC) and home and community based care (HCBC) with a specific emphasis on gender, class, sexuality, race and ability in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities.

In addition to my academic interests in lgbt/q issues I also work in the Office of Campus Programs at the University of Maryland as the Graduate Coordinator for LGBT student involvement and community advocacy on the MICA team. Other helpful LGBT/Q resources at Maryland can be found at LGBT Equity and LGBT Studies.
