This workshop will look at some advanced features of Wimba Live Classroom that enable instructors and students to contribute to a collaborative learning dynamic, including desktop sharing, breakout rooms and publishing archives as mp4 files.

Wimba Live Classroom is a real-time virtual classroom environment that enhances distance education, hybrid classes, and collaboration activities. The environment supports audio, video, application sharing, presentations and whiteboarding, and it is a tool readily available within ELMS (powered by Blackboard) course spaces. In addition, Wimba voice tools enable faculty to extend the usefulness of such tools as Announcements, E-mail, and the Discussion Board with the integration of voice.
