Print-friendlyPrint-friendly

Individual podcasts can be deleted from Wimba Podcaster. In addition, selected podcasts as well as entire repositories can be exported to a local computer.

Delete a Podcast from a Wimba Podcast Repository

Individuals with instructor level privileges can delete podcasts (including student podcast submissions) from a podcast repository. Note that students who have already subscribed to and downloaded a podcast will continue to retain it in their podcast aggregator.

  1. Click the recording title link in the top half of the Wimba Podcaster repository.
  2. Click on the Delete icon at the top of the Wimba Podcaster window.
  3. Click Yes when prompted to confirm your wish to delete the podcast.

Export Podcast(s) from a Wimba Podcast Repository

You can download an individual podcast or an entire repository of podcasts to your local computer. These files or file groupings can then be imported into another Wimba Podcaster repository (or into another Wimba Voice tool).

  1. Select the podcast or podcasts you wish to Export (to select multiple podcasts in a repository, hold down the CTRL or CMD key on your keyboard while you make your selections).
  2. Click on the Export icon at the top of the Wimba Podcaster window.
  3. Select any and all podcasts via the Select what you want to export drop-down menu.
  4. Select a desired format for the output via the Select the export format drop-down menu. These options include .wvb, Wimba Voice Board format, or zipped archives of .wav or .mp3 formatted files.
  5. Click the Next button and identify a location on your local computer to which the file(s) can be downloaded.
  6. Enter a name in the File Name box and click the Save button.
