Introduction

Wimba Voice Tools makes it possible to record and post audio to your ELMS (powered by Blackboard) site. Perfect for language learning & creating vocal exercises in any subject, the Wimba web-based voice tools facilitate and promote vocal instruction, collaboration, coaching, and assessment. Wimba Voice incorporates the use of threaded voice boards, voice-enabled email, embedded voice within course pages, as well as live group discussions and debates, which increase the interaction and student engagement level of any online course.

Getting Started With Wimba Voice:

Wimba Voice Tool Suite is installed as a building block in ELMS (powered by Blackboard). If you don’t have an ELMS course space, please request it from elms.umd.edu. Wimba Voice audio content can be created from"Communication" link in your ELMS course space.

Technical Requirements include Java, internet access, a microphone, and speakers for play back.
