Innovative Uses of Collaborative Tools

Collaborative learning enables students to take an active role in their educational experience. It develops students’ social interaction skills and promotes critical thinking, thus enhance learning outcomes.
In this brown bag discussion, we'll focus specifically on different types of tools for collaborative learning that can help improve learning in your class, such as Google Documents, Google Wave, Twitter, Wikis, and Blogs. Leslie Walker (faculty, College of Journalism) will show how she has successfully incorporated these tools into the classroom and in online teaching.

This event is open for all faculty and staff who enjoy participating in lively discussion. No registration is required.
