An increasing number of faculty are incorporating the use of media, such as podcasts or digital videos, into their teaching. As a powerful and simple podcast distribution environment, iTunes U enables everyone to hear and see faculty, staff, and students from the University of Maryland community, and to virtually experience public events, special productions, and attend lectures.Two things differentiate the UM iTunes U academic site from the more public and popular iTunes U: access to content hosted on the academic site is limited by a student’s association with a specific course or with the University of Maryland, and content is free!
