The steps for using WebDrive to connect to the Streaming Media and podcast.umd.edu servers are virtually the same.
Stepping Through the WebDrive Wizard:
- Launch the WebDrive client on your local computer. You will work through the steps presented in the WebDrive Site Wizard.
- Click on the New Site button; type "streaming" (or "podcasting") in the "Enter the name for the site you will be connecting to" field.
- Select an available Drive, such as E:, on your local computer.
- Choose "WebDAV" for the Server type from the drop down menu, then click Next.
- Type the URL provided to you by the media administrator (e.g., https://dav.webhosting.umd.edu/streamingmedia/academic/ your folder) into the "Enter the URL for the Server" box in order to connect to your file storage area on the server; click Next.

- Choose "No Certificate" from the Certificate Settings window and click Next.

- Type in your Directory ID and Password, click Next and Finish


- You will see the Webdrive E: window on your desktop.
- Now, you can drag your media files from your local computer to the media server as represented by the E: drive (or whatever drive you assigned in Step 3 above).
