Second Life in Education
Virtual worlds - what do they have to offer for collaboration, learning,
research, and teaching? Second Life (SL), one of the most popular of
these online virtual world platforms, is full of educational builds,
international educator communities, and more.
In this brown bag meeting, Katie King (Associate Professor, Women’s
Studies) will share her ideas about SL as a platform for collaboration
and research. She will give a tour of her Cedar Island neighborhood of
artists, educators, activists, IT folks, and others interested in
ongoing intellectual work. She has given two talks based on her research
in Second Life available online at:http://grrrlingitinsl.blogspot.com/
