Teaching with MObile Devices
Mobile Devices - what do they have to offer for collaboration, learning, communication and teaching? As more and more students have at least one type of mobile device, faculty are beginning to explore their possible uses in education through the Maryland Mobility Initiative.
In this brown bag meeting, Dr. Sahar Khamis (Faculty, Department of Communication,
College of Arts and Humanities) and Dr. Marvin Scott (Faculty, School of Public Health) will share their experiences and findings with mobile devices in instruction and how mobile devices can be used to improve classroom learning environment through enhanced instruction, communication and collaboration. The various pedagogical goals in the use of mobile devices, as well as challenges encountered will be discussed in this meeting.
This event is open for all faculty and staff who enjoy participating in a lively discussion.
