Blended Learning Solutions—Combining the Best from Face-to-Face and Online Learning
Blended learning is growing rapidly in today’s educational world. It reduces the amount of time spent in the classroom by moving many learning activities online. When designed effectively, blended courses can enhance active learning and improve learning outcomes by combining the engaging benefits of traditional instructor led training with the advantages brought by a variety of online technologies.
Come join us to find out what Dr. Marcio Oliveira (faculty, School of Public Health) and Dr. Spencer Benson (Director, Center for Teaching Excellence) have to say about their experiences with teaching blended courses. Participants and the ELMS support staff will also explore and discuss blended pedagogy, including advantages and challenges with teaching blended courses, what worked, what didn't, and how the blended format differs from face-to-face and online teaching experiences.
