Code for Community (CfC) Challenge
The Code for Community Challenge Initiative [1] is an undergraduate competition at UMCP that seeks to encourage its students to make a change in their community, by using their creativity and programming skills to develop mobile apps for the Apple, Android and HTML5 (Open Source) markets. The competition has the following goals:
(1) address the challenges facing communities.
(2) help community based organizations do a better job
(3) empower residents to help themselves
(4) leverage technology as a tool to improve quality of life in neighborhoods
