Access to your Teaching Theater account is available from the WAM labs on campus. Some Teaching Theater applications are also available.
 
 
Double click on the icon for Teaching Technologies.
 
     
NOTE:   The location of the Teaching Technologies icon will vary depending on what lab you are in. In the WAM labs look under the Main Utilities... option off the Main Menu.
 
  The following window will appear:
 
 
  Type in your Teaching Theater user id (for example, kn04) into the box next to User ID. You can use the TAB key to move to the next box and type in your password. As you type in your password, asterisks (*) will appear. Click the OK button.
 
  Some more status windows will appear providing you feedback on the status of the program. A window similar to the following window should appear:
 
 
  TThe list of Teaching Theater-specific applications available will change depending on which class you are enrolled in. To run a program, click on the name of the program (a description of the program will appear in the bottom box under Description) and then click on the Run button.
 
  In addition, several network drives are mapped to give you access to your personal files and your class shared directory. In the lower right-hand corner of the window is an area labeled Drives Mapped: which lists what drive letters are assigned to the following:
 
    · where your personal files are located,
    · where the class shared directory is located,
    · where the application directory is located, and
    · where the class directory is located.
 
  Commercial applications, such as Microsoft Office, should be run from the menus in the local WAM lab that you are in. If you want to open a file you saved in the Teaching Theater, access the drive assigned to your personal files to find it.
 
     
NOTE   When in the Teaching Theater, your personal files are located in the M: drive and your class shared directory is located in the N: drive.
 
  Work with the application that you selected. When you have completed your work, exit the application. You will see the window T.T. Attach '98 for Windows with the available applications listed.
 
  To logout of the Teaching Theater, click on the Exit button. The following window will appear
 
 
  Click on the Yes button. This will log you off the Teaching Theater file server.
