Improved Interaction
Wimba Classroom 6.1 has improved the ability of presenters to interact with participants with the following features:
Archive Reminder: an Archive Reminder dialog box displays for presenters at the start of a presentation.
New Hand Raised Chime: chime will be played when a hand is raised to alert presenters when students raise their hand.
Enhanced One-to-One Video: enhanced One to-One Video constantly displays a conversation partner's video when only 2 people are in a room.
Shortened and manageable Guest launcher links.
Improved Video Capabilities
Increased video support: Wimba Classroom 6.1 now can recognized any camera, not only USB web cameras. If your computer supports the video camera, so does Wimba Classroom! Data cameras and video equipment can now be used with Wimba Classroom.
Faster video processing speed and Higher Quality Video: The default video encoding bit rate has been doubled and can now be set to 512 kbps (previous default video bit rate was 256 kbps). Video window now can sizes up to 640x480. By doubling video processing speed and increasing window size, Wimba has improved the quality and realism of your live instruction, archived presentations, and MP4’s.
Improved Security for Peace of Mind
Wimba now offers advanced SSL security capabilities
Provides the ability to disable the Wimba Classroom Lobby to eliminate confusion and unmonitored access to a room.
