Comments: What Kind of System Are You?

I play chess with 16 MB of RAM. Guess I won't be going head to head with the Dupont Circle cronies anytime soon.

Yup, that's the cicadas I hear.

I'm pretty sure I have one of those riced-out custom cases, with neon and whatnot. And more RAM than is probably good for me. Emphasis, of course, on the "random" in "random access memory." Ethernet... in fact, I think I'm one of those computers that lives in a coffee shop and can be used for communication at a nominal fee. Why a coffeeshop computer has a riced-out case is beyond me; my metaphor has collapsed.

I'm a PC, though. Macs are too shiny, efficient, and unique... plus they don't play well with others.

Well I remember the time when I was playing chess
with my Apple ][ back in the 80's with I think 128k or something and it was considered like a big thing to have 128k that was like a workstation
and you could play chess very well! What happened in the last 20 years is a mystery?!
