I’m looking to pick up an extra LCD flat panel to use around the apartment (in conjunction with my laptop). Used would be fine, doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just has to work—suggestions on where to look to avoid paying an arm and a leg? Yes, I’m watching eBay.
Posted by mgk at January 12, 2005 09:02 PMMy partner likes TigerDirect quite a bit. I've window-shopped there many times, and their prices (and the quality of the stuff they distribute) seem very good. http://www.tigerdirect.com/

Sometimes NewEgg has occasional deals, and you might also consider looking at Microcenter (http://www.microcenter.com/). I don't know about Microcenter's online deals, but I drove to their store in Fairfax and combed through some of their returns and opened packages. Picked up a perfectly fine "opened" Linksys Wireless Router for about 50% of retail (it was missing the CD, which had absolutely nothing of importance on it). With the missing CD, I haggled them down even more from what they were asking.
