I’m going to be in Austin for the better part of a week at the end of the month (speaking and research trip) and I hear there are one or two good restaurants down there. Does anyone have recommendations, either particular places to go or else online resources such as a dining guide? I want the best Tex Mex of course, but maybe other cuisines too.
Posted by mgk at February 8, 2006 06:28 PMYou should have lots of fun. The Austin Chronicle's Food Guide is really good--they have a restaurant guide that lets you search by cuisine and location. I like Kerbey Lane Cafe, Katz's Deli and Bar, Jeffrey's is good, but fancy, West Lynn Cafe, Stubbs Barbecue, Fonda San miguel, and Las Manitas Avenue Cafe. Enjoy! When you come to A&M in the fall (for the Digital Humanities Conference) we'll take you to some great Tex-Mex restaurants as well.

I hear they have good steer? :-)

Wow, spam tech is really coming along. Mouse over "Ashley's" URL and you'll see what I mean. I'm going to leave the comment as an artifact.
