William Gibson Reading in N. Virginia (posted 1 February 2004)
William Gibson (who coined the term "cyberspace") will be reading is at the Borders in Bailey's Crossroads (http://www.bordersstores.com/stores/store_pg.jsp?storeID=45). The store is in Northern Virginia, at the intersection of 7 and 244 (Leesburg Pike and Columbia Pike). It's taking place on Feb. 16th at 7:30 pm.
This sounds good! "Cyberspace" is thrown around like an old, familiar rag, these days.
If I can fit this into my schedule, I'll go. I'm assistant producer of a new newscast on WMUC, and this might make a good story, as cyberspace is so relevant to UMCP and especially ENGL467.
If anyone wants to carpool from the College Park/Greenbelt area, send me an email at email@example.com . My boyfriend and I will be attending and can squeeze in two or three more people.
/Sigh; being sick, I missed it :(
