Goal:
Learners will understand the theory, issues, and practical design of conducting courses in web-based computer mediated conference learning environments (WCC).
Objectives:
Learners will be able:
1. To use WebCT (a WCC). Note:
The WCC system depends where this course is offered.
2. To design a web-based instruction for WCC.
3. To analyze how technology in WCC effects learning.
4. To work collaboratively on a group instructional
project in a WCC.
5. To develop strategies for building a learning
community in a WCC.
6. To discuss the relevant theories related to teaching
in a WCC.
7. To discuss research that supports WCC.
8. To discuss the strengths and challenges of learning
in a WCC.
9. To apply appropriate instructional design strategies
to a WCC.
10. To appropriately apply instructional techniques in a WCC.
11. To use multimedia and hypermedia to enhance WCC course design.
12. To adapt and apply classroom assessment techniques within
a WCC.
13. To analyze from the results from classroom assessment techniques
student learning within
a WCC.
