Greenbelt's first traffic accident occurred on 8 April 1938, at 5:45 in the evening. A man was on his way home, when he struck a little kid who was riding his bike. The man immediately rushed the kid to the infirmary at the town center, where the doctors transferred him to a D.C. hospital for x-rays. The x-rays showed that nothing was broken and a few days later the kid was sent home.2 No word on if any charges were pressed, or the identities of the parties involved. |
