Hi! My name is Kim. Welcome to my home page. You have reached
me at the University of Maryland's OTAL system. I'm a senior
civil-engineering student here and I'd venture to say that this is a
great school. I used to go to Rutgers University where I was the
goalkeeper for the women's soccer team, but I transferred here
because of my major.
Within civil engineering, I am concentrating in
transportation. This involves the design of highways, improving
signal operations, and a multitude of other things to try and make your
daily journeys pass swiftly and safely.
I wish to eventually get my PhD so that I can teach at a University
and do research on transportation topics. I certainly hope my
experiments are more successful than some of my ancestors' have
been.

Maybe someday we'll have a totally different transportation system
like in "The Jetsons".
Here's another picture that I find quite amusing:

I am currently enrolled in an American Studies
class (AMST
205) where we use artifacts to describe culture. My class projects will
be accessible from this page.
Again, welcome!
