Edie's Hall of Depression
Glass
 |
In conclusion, it seems that depression glass, in it's
many splendid colors and patterns, was very
important to the Depression Era. It offered lower and middle class
families the opportunity to have something that was only previously
avaliable to upper class individuals, as well as provided great
opportunity to the glass industry during the period of the Great
Depression. This beautiful, yet very inexpensive glass added color to
Greenbelt, MD. as well as other communities in the Depression era, and
continues to
decorate and beautify the dining room tables and cabinets of today.
