Matt Burn's project on recreation in Greenbelt ties together with the Center School. The Greenbelt Recreation Department was created to give residents a chance to get together to do activities they liked. Many indoor sport teams and classes probably met in the gymnasium of the Center School.
April Hall discusses the community aspect of Greenbelt in her project. She focuses on a variety of organizations that were important to residents that were part of the Directory of Greenbelt Organizations, whose purpose was to involve as many residents as possible with a wide array of interests. Some of the organizations mentioned held meetings and events in the Center School.
Many women of Greenbelt were involved with at least one club or organization that tended to women's interests. Leslie Holcomb focuses her project on women's organizations, some of which used the Center School's facilities, Also, she brings up an interesting point about how organizations were taking away from home life. Thus, "At Home Week In Greenbelt" was created.
Children had a good time growing up in Greenbelt. Mandy Dainis addresses the Center School's resources, aesthetics, and quality education in her project A Child's View of Greenbelt. She also mentions other community gathering places other than the Center School.
