Homework One
EXPLORING THE WORLD WIDE WEB
Your assignment is to explore the Internet in more detail and discuss
your findings on your homework1.html page that you construct in class.
1. Go to NETSCAPE and choose a search engine (ie. Lycos, Alta
Vista, Yahoo, etc.).
2. Choose five museum web sites that interest you. Do not
include the Smithsonian Instiution - we will look at that one later in
the term.
3. Write a paragraph about each of your choices. Keeping the
Kouwenhoven and Hesseltine reading in mind (words vs. things), analyze how
well the site uses images and text. Are the two equally balanced or is
one favored over the other?
In each paragraph, be sure to include the following:
     - Why you chose the site;
     - What you like or dislike about the site;
and
     - The global link to the site.
5. Your finished product should include five paragraphs. You
should also be sure that the global links work.
6. Be sure to put your name on your homework1.html page.
