Ken passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006 unexpectedly at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born November 30, 1934, the son of Leonard and Faye Kuehn, and lived in this area all of his life. Ken served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and upon his discharge continued his employed with Sutherland Paper. He retired after 41 years from Fort James in 1994 as a Beater Engineer. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Barker, formerly of Galesburg, MI; and two daughters, Paula and Donald Mitchell and Patricia Noble; three wonderful grandchildren, Cory and Kyle Noble, and Elizabeth Mitchell, whom he spent much time with and loved very much. He is also survived by his sister, Iris and Richard Estes of Kalamazoo; brother, Paul and Nancy Kuehn of Richland, MI; and brother-in-law, Bruce Barker of Comstock, MI. Ken enjoyed his retirement years at his home on the lake that he helped design, winter trips to Mexico and Orange Beach, AL, and many pinochle games with friends, Joyce and Paul Getz. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place with Graveside Services to be held March 23, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Portage Central Cemetery. Memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
