14FA. Gerald Harry Youngblood was born in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, on Thursday, July 20, 1922. Ann Marie Kuiper was born in Kalamazoo on Tuesday, September 6, 1927. They were married in Kalamazoo on Friday, June 25, 1948. She took the name Ann Marie Youngblood. He is the son of Harry Burrel and Frances (Beckwith) Youngblood. She is the daughter of Henry and Ann (Sportel) Kuiper. They had two children:

Gerald first worked at the Dawn Doughnut Company then became a baker for
Western Michigan University from which he retired. He enjoyed playing
baseball which is where his nickname of "Gib" originated.
