15392–15393.  Kiliaen Van Rensselear was born in Holland and died between 1583 and 1592. Nelle Van Wenckum was born in Holland. He is the son of Johan and Derykibia (Van Luxoel) Van Rensselaer. She is the daughter of Claes and Engel (Van der Hell) Van Wenckum. They had five children:

i. Nicholas Van Rensselaer: He married Jacomina Schrassert and lived in Putten, Holland. She is the daughter of Arntsz and Naele (Van Estvelt) Schrassert.
ii. Hendrick Van Rensselaer, (Capt.) [#7696]: He was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, about 1554, and died in Ostend, Holland, on January 6, 1602.
iii. Johan Van Rensselaer, (Capt.): He was born in Holland and died on February 7, 1601, in Deventer, Holland. He married Sandrina Van Erp. She was the daughter of Johan and Phillippin (Van Hornum) Van Erp. He is buried in the church at Nykerk with his twin brother, Hendrick. Johan Van Erp Phillippina Van Hornum On March 3, 1580, the Spaniards, through the treason of Count Rennenberg, had taken the city of Groningen. The States General ordered Capt. Johan Van Rensselear to muster a company of 100 foot soldiers for the defense of the province. In 1583, he served with the troops under Count Van den Bergh. He and his wife received from the States General a pension of 200 guilders yearly, this to revert, after the death of the survivor, to his nephew, Kiliean. They had no children.
iv. Engeltje Van Rensselaer: She married Gerrit Willemsz. Their daughter, Nelle, married Hendrick Van Curler, whose son, Arent Van Curler, settled in America.
