16E. Sophronia Gilbert was born in Paris Township, Portage County, Ohio, U.S.A., in 1831-32. Her husband was (William) George Starr They were married in Williams County, Ohio, U.S.A., on Thursday, December 30, 1852. She took the name Sophronia Starr. She is the daughter of Walter and Hannah (Calvin) Gilbert. There may have been more than the two children shown here.

ii.	Effie Starr died in Lansing, Michigan, U.S.A., on May 4, 1925. Effie J. Starr married John H. Cogswell, son of Hiram and Mary Catherine West Cogswell. John was born on May 22, 1867, in Bridgewater Township, Williams County, Ohio, and died on December 2, 1942, in Lansing, Michigan. They lived in Lansing.

Sophronia's grandnephew, Walter Joshua Gilbert, gives her husband's name as George while the IGI gives it as William.
