1940–1941.  Pieter Van Alen was born in 1630, and died in 1674. His wife was _____ _____ They were married in Holland. She took the name _____ Van Alen. He is the son of Lourens Van Hallen. They had three children:

His second marriage was to Maria Teller in America in 1669. She took the name Maria Van Alen.

Pieter van Alen arrived in America in 1658 aboard the Gilded Beaver accompanied by his wife, two small children and a boy and settled in Beverwyck (Albany). He initially used the original spelling of the name (Van Halen) and dropped the 'H' later on. He received a tract of land in Kinderhook in 1668.
