528–529.  Benjamin Phippen was born in England in 1625, and died in Boston, Massachusetts, about October, 1678. His wife was Wilmot Yeo Her surname has been seen spelled Ewer. He is the son of David and Sarah (Pinckney(?)) Phippen. They had eight children:

i. David Phippen was born in Boston, Massachusetts Colony, on November 6, 1651. He died young.
ii. Benjamin Phippen was born in Boston on April 6, 1653, baptized on April 10, 1653, and died in May 28, 1654.
iii. Benjamin Phippen was born in Boston on January 19, 1654/5, baptized on January 28, 1654/5, and died in Boston on September 20, 1655.
iv. Benjamin Phippen was born in Boston on July 15, 1656. He died unmarried.
v. Sarah Phippen was born in Boston on April 13, 1568. Per Tingley, she died before 1717; was living in 1697; married Nathaniel Baldwin of Milford, Connecticut, son of John Baldwin, baptized March 22, 1648 in Milford; children: Nathaniel, Benjamin, John, Samuel, Joseph, and Elizabeth.
vi. James Phippeny [#264]: He was born in Boston on January 30, 1663/4, and died in Stratford, Connecticut Colony, on August 12, 1717.
vii. Mary Phippen was born in Boston in 1664. Per Tingley, she died before 1707 in Stratford, Connecticut; married June 13, 1680, Nathaniel Sherman of Stratford (son of Samuel and Sarah (Metcalf) Sherman). He was born March 21, 1656/7, Stratford; died April 19, 1712, Stratford; married (2) Abigail Hanford. Child: Comfort.
viii. Rebecca Phippen was born in Boston on August 10, 1666, and died in Stratford on August 5, 1739. On June 6, 1683, she married Benjamin Sherman of Stratford, son of Samuel and Sarah (Metcalf) Sherman, born March 29, 1662, Stratford, died August 29, 1741, Stratford; children: Abigail, John, Wilmott, Job, Nathaniel, Martha, Mindwell, Mary, Enos, Rebecca, Benjamin, Samuel, James, and Timothy.

His second marriage was to Elinor _____ in 1669. She took the name Elinor Phippen. She married, second, Nathaniel Jewell. They had three children:

i. Thomas Phippen was born in Boston on December 1, 1671. Per Tingley, he died before 1714, unmarried.
ii. John Phippen was born in Boston on June 1, 1673. Per Tingley, he was alive and unmarried in 1690.
iii. Joseph Phippen was born in Boston on November 30, 1676, and died in Fairfield, Connecticut Colony, in 1733. He married Elizabeth _____; child: Joseph Phippen.

Benjamin Phippen was a blockmaker. He died shortly before October 21, 1678.
