8GAD. James Edward Collins was born in Byron Township, Kent County, Michigan, on Saturday, April 10, 1926. Wanda May LaTreille was born in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan, on Thursday, October 28, 1926, and died in Kent County, Michigan, on July 18, 1993. They were married in Byron Center, Kent Counry, Michigan, on Saturday, November 2, 1946. She took the name Wanda May Collins. He is the son of Frank Edward and Myrtle R. (Marshall) Collins. She is the daughter of Ernest and Rose (Kwiakoski) LaTreille. They had two children:

Jim served in World War II in the Navy in the Pacific. His boot camp
was in North Dakota. He is a jack-of-all-trades and has completely gutted
and remodelled his house. He and Wanda are inveterate travellers having
travelled to all 50 states. They travel every year and enjoy camping.
Jim worked for Mack and Ernie Spring and Wire making car seats. He retired from
there in 1987.
