The Bushforever Chorus

Lyrics by Darrell Capwell

Below should be an image reminiscent of a tape player; its exact format will depent on what software your computer and your browser use. Click on what appears to be a "Play" button to hear the music. There also should be the other controls usually found on tape players.

Note that since this is not streaming audio, you will have to wait for the entire MP3 file to download before you can hear all of it. Therefore, if you are listening to it and it suddenly stops, the download is probably not complete.

The Bushforever Chorus (orchestra)

A Bush shall reign for-e-ver and e- for-e- ver.

Re-cent-ly a le-gend has be-gun.
We had a pre-si-dent named Bush,
    known as for-ty-one.
Clin-ton kicked him out,
but now we shout with glee,
Be-cause we now have a-no-ther Bush,
    known as for-ty-three.
The le-ga-cy of the fa-ther
    is that of the son;
The Bush called for-ty-three
    is a clone of for-ty-one.

Recitative: G.W. Bush:
I have the ho-no-ra-ri-um
    of be-ing like my dad,
And ma-king sure the White House
    stays our fami-ly pad.

Chorus:
For-ty-three was e-very-thing we dreamed;
He cut our ta-xes, crushed I-raq,
    plot-ted, planned and schemed.
Our glee was hal-ted by the thought
    the le-ga-cy would end
But Karl Rove calmed the crowd and said:

Karl Rove, spoken over sustained notes:
    Ah "Cheer up my friends.
True, the day will come
when for-ty-three can run no more
But then a Bush called Jeb
    will run as for-ty-four."

Recitative: Jeb Bush:
From George, my dad, to bro-ther George,
and right on down to me.
The list of U.-S. pre-si-dents
    looks like our fa-mily tree

Chorus:
Jeb will al-so go-vern from the right.
He'll gut the go-vern-ment
    to con-ser-va-tives' de-light.
Jeb will be a star,
    if gi-ven half a chance
And with a bit of luck,
    he will in-vade France
When Jeb has served two terms,
    to keep the dream a-live
We'll glad-ly vote in Lau-ra Bush
    to serve as for-ty-five.

Recitative: Laura Bush:
My hus-band and my fa-ther-in-law
    both in-va-ded I-raq
I hope we don't run out
of Mid East na-tions to at-tack

Chorus:
Bu-sh's le-ga-cy has just be-gun.
There's Ne-il and there's Bar-b'ra,
    and Jen-na set to run.
We will sing with glee
    for ma-ny years to come.
To think that this all star-ted
    with num-ber for-ty-one.
You do not need ex-pe-ri-ence
    for a po-li-ti-cal push
In po-li-tics to-day
    if your name is "Bush".

A Bush shall reign for-e-ver and e-ver
For-e-ver, Bush for-e-ver,
    Bush for-e-ver, Bush for-e-ver;
Bush for-e-ver, Bush for-e-ver,
    Bush for life.
