Live as if you were to die tomorrow.  Learn as if you were to live forever.
~ Mahatma Gandhi

Instructors are responsible not only for conveying knowledge, but also for:

  • Tracking student progress,
  • Identifying ways to adapt content delivery to meet special needs, and
  • Providing opportunities for engaging instructor-to-student and student-to-student interactions.

Where does technology fit into these responsibilities? Obviously, the course is never designed to fit the available technology; rather, with the assistance of an instructional designer, teachers can explore and carefully integrate the instructional technology tools and strategies that can effectively and appropriately facilitate student learning.

The information below will help you consider responses to the following questions:

  • Where will you be teaching and mentoring your students and what can you do in those spaces?
  • What tools and strategies are available to enhance the effectiveness of your teaching through enhanced engagement and student management?
  • What policies are in place that may govern how you accommodate the specialized instructional needs of some students?
